Students have several placement options and may use one or more of the following:

Submit a transcript from the college at which a pre-requisite course was completed with a grade of “C” or higher. Official transcripts are required for program placement.
Option 2 – Accuplacer Assessment
Complete the Accuplacer Placement Assessment, available at A-B Tech several times each week. The assessment is computer based and must be completed in person – use the calendar below to schedule your session. Students may take the Accuplacer at another college – for more information, please contact a distance advisor at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Option 3 – Alternate Placement Assessments
Complete and submit official scores from an alternate placement assessment.
Option 4 – Informed Consent
Students with relevant life, work, or educational experience may be eligible to waive the placement requirement. Informed Consent may not be used for admission to a limited or competitive program.
